Can you install over gravel? YES - Grip-tastic rubber is typically installed over a sub-straight such as concrete, asphalt, paving stones or compacted granular. Some applications do require a specific sub-base for installation of the rubber surfacing.
Your new rubber surface can be cleaned using a power washer to deal with any spills or stains. It is recommended to use a light detergent and ensure the power washer operator does not put the nozzle too close to the surface.
Accidental rips, tears and damage can be repaired by cutting out the damaged area and reapplying new rubber. We can also provide a maintenance coating that helps to brighten your Grip-tastic Rubber surface. We offer 3 year warranty. Warranty is void if damage is determined to be de to misuse, abuse or vandalism.
What happens in winter? Grip-tastic Rubber surface maintains a slightly porous, textured surface which is beneficial in cold winter climates. Water does not pool on the surface, reducing the thin layer of ice that increases the risk of fall injuries. With heavier snow and ice layers, the textured surface makes it easier to scrape as compared with concrete where the bottom layer of ice adheres to. It is safe to use salt or any other de-icer. It is recommended to use a plastic shovel and outfitting your snow blower with plastic stripping.
How do you care for a Grip-tastic Rubber surface? Adding a fresh top coat every 5 to 7 years is all it takes to maintain your Grip-tastic Rubber surface. This will give your Grip-tastic Rubber surface that beautiful shine it had when it was first completed. It also prevents flaking or pebbling of the rubber and re-strengthens the surface.
How long does it take to install a Grip-tastic Rubber surface? Our Revamp installers can complete most residential projects within one business day.
